Brad R. Newberg
 
Brad Newberg is a founding partner of Newberg & Winters LLP.  His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, dilution and other intellectual property matters.   Mr. Newberg’s practice has given him extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including conducting direct examinations and cross-examinations at trial, arguing and drafting motions, supervising large-scale discovery, arguing at mediations, and taking and defending approximately one hundred depositions.  In addition, he has developed considerable experience in analyzing potential damages awards in trademark and copyright cases, bettering his ability to counsel clients as to the potential magnitude of recoveries or potential liability exposure.  Mr. Newberg has represented clients before numerous federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panels, and state courts.

Before founding Newberg & Winters LLP, Mr. Newberg was at the law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP (1999-2005).  Prior to his service at Arnold & Porter, he was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Louis L. Stanton of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (1997-1999). In addition to having experience as a summer associate at Arnold & Porter (1996), Mr. Newberg was also a summer associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton (1997), and Coopers & Lybrand (1995).

Mr. Newberg graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1997 and served as Articles Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
